1.  When does registration start? 

  • Registration for Spring/Summer 2017 begins on November 1, 2016 at www.ggsl.org.

2.  When does registration end?          

  • Registration ends on May 01, 2017; however, some teams will fill up long before then.   Don’t wait to register!

3.  How much are the registration fees?

  • Early bird registration fee is $100 until January 31, 2017. On February 1, 2017 the fee will increase to $110 until April 30, 2017. A $25 late fee will be added if you register from April 15, 2017 until the close of registration on May 1, 2017.

4.  When does the season begin?

  • Indoor sessions begin in April, but the outdoor season starts about May 15.  Indoor times/dates TBD.

5.  Can I get a refund?

  • Full refunds will be provided through April 1.  After this time, uniform and other administrative costs will have been incurred for your player.  A 50% refund will be given through May 14. After the season begins, there are no refunds, without a note from a physician regarding injury or illness.

6.  What does my child receive from GGSL?

  • All players will receive a pair of shorts, a jersey and a pair of socks.  There will be 10 games during the season and at least 3 games for each team during Soccer Fest weekend.  All teams (EXCEPT FOR TYKES and 6U) also have one practice per week.

7.  What equipment does my child need?

  • Each player must have a pair of cleats, shin guards and a soccer ball!

8.  When will the schedule be released? 

  • Schedules will be shared with coaches approximately 4 weeks prior to posting publicly.  After the coaches have reviewed the schedules and made any changes, they will be shared with families at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the season.

9.  Can I volunteer to be a coach?

  • If you are interested in coaching, please register on the website ASAP and email adminassistant@ggsl.org.  If you would like to coach your child, please indicate it during the registration. 

10.  When are practices?

  • Practice times are determined by each coach at the start of the season.  GGSL requires that coaches provide 1 practice per week; times are set by the coaches based on their schedules.

11. When are my games?

12.  Can I request a coach?

  • No, but you can request to not have a certain coach.

13.  Can I request that my child be on the same team with another player (for carpool purposes, because they are neighbors, best friends, classmates, played together last year, etc.)? 

  • No, unless children are siblings and are age appropriate, no special requests will be accepted.  Making new friends is part of the GGSL experience!
